What's New on SOS.com
Welcome to the NEW Speaking of Speech.com!
This site has seen many changes since it first went online in June 2001, but none compare with the total revision that occurred in early 2008. More than 30 pages were recreated, nearly 20 message boards were redirected, and over 2000 PDFs and graphics were individually added, uploaded, and linked. It seemed at the outset (and frequently along the way) to be an insurmountable task, but my sincere thanks go to the following for keeping me going:
- My incredibly supportive husband, Lance, who never complained that I spent WAY more time with my computer than I did with him over the past 2 months, and who even pitched in with the laundry and dishes from time to time.
- The hundreds of YOU who sent emails filled with encouragement, thanks, and prayers. Emails came from all over the US, and from as far away as Tasmania, New Zealand, and China! What a worldwide community of support SOS.com has become!
- The nearly 1.8 MILLION visitors to Speaking of Speech.com. That staggering number is proof that the site has value to speech/language pathologists, teachers, parents, and students who are committed to improving communication skills in our children.
